In individual cremation, a pets ashes may be returned to the family as the remains are processed in an individual container.
In communal cremation your pet will be cremated along with other pets. In this scenario, your pets remains are not returned.
For larger animals, pick-up and transportation services are also available. There are also many facilities where whole body cremation is offered for larger sized animals although it is important to note that in many wild animal parks, aquariums, and zoos, dismemberment is unavoidable in order to fit into your cremation unit. If it is important to you that your animal is in tact when it is cremated, one may seek a facility that can offer whole body cremation.
